🌿 Baby Peperomia Care Guide Peperomia are charming, low-maintenance houseplants loved for their thick, decorative leaves and compact growth. Often called “radiator plants,” they are excellent indoor plants and perfect for beginners. Baby Peperomias are hardy, but they appreciate gentle light, good drainage, and careful watering. 🌞 Light Prefers bright, indirect light Tolerates medium light well Avoid harsh direct sun, which may scorch leaves Low light can slow growth and reduce leaf colour ✨ Tip: Variegated Peperomias need brighter light to maintain their patterns. 💧 Watering Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings Water when the top 3–5 cm feels dry Do not keep soil constantly wet Always empty excess water from saucers ⚠️ Peperomias have semi-succulent leaves and are more tolerant of underwatering than overwatering. 🌱 Soil Use a light, well-draining mix such as: Indoor potting soil Perlite or pumice for drainage Optional: orchid bark for extra airflow A chunky mix helps prevent root rot. 🪴 Pot Size Babies do best in a small pot with drainage holes Avoid overpotting, as excess soil stays wet too long Repot only when roots begin to fill the pot Peperomias enjoy being slightly snug. 🌡 Temperature & Humidity Ideal temperature: 18–27°C Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C Average indoor humidity is usually sufficient Higher humidity supports faster growth, but is not essential ✨ Tip: Peperomia thrive in stable indoor conditions. 🌿 Fertilizer Feed lightly during spring and summer Use a balanced liquid fertilizer at ½ strength Fertilize every 4–6 weeks Pause feeding in autumn and winter Peperomias are gentle feeders — avoid over-fertilizing. ✂️ General Maintenance Wipe leaves occasionally to remove dust Pinch back tips for bushier growth Rotate the pot for even development Remove any yellowing leaves with clean scissors 🐛 Pests to Watch For Peperomia are generally pest-resistant, but may occasionally attract: Mealybugs Spider mites Fungus gnats (if overwatered) Inspect regularly and treat early if needed. ⚠️ Pet Safety Peperomia are generally considered pet-friendly, making them a great choice for households with pets. 📦 Postage & Shipping Information All plants are carefully prepared and packaged to ensure they arrive safely and in excellent condition.
