Tissue culture plants are one of the most affordable ways to add rare and sought-after varieties to your collection. Produced under sterile laboratory conditions, tissue culture allows plant lovers access to exceptional plants at a fraction of the price of established specimens. Important Shipping Information All tissue culture orders will be dispatched on 21st or 22nd of September (subject to change). Plants will be supplied in transport bags either with the original agar or without (depending on the variety) Some varieties may contain multiple plants per bag, while others will be packed individually. If you have just ordered one of a variety that is multipack we will take your plant out, remove the agar and rebag it. If you do not wish for this to happen please let us know and we will refund any plants we can't send sterile. Important Information Regarding Tissue Culture Tissue culture plants offer excellent value, however there are some risks involved that we feel are important to mention. Plant size may vary considerably. Unfortunately, we will not know the exact size of each plant until they arrive, so some may be larger or smaller than expected. Variegated varieties can revert. Some varieties are more prone to reversion than others, and in some cases plants may fully revert within a short period of time. As this is a natural characteristic of variegated plants, we cannot accept responsibility for reversion. By purchasing tissue culture plants, you acknowledge and accept this risk. Tissue culture plants should be considered a buy-at-your-own-risk product, and are best suited to growers who are comfortable with the acclimatisation process and the inherent variability involved. Prefer Something More Established? For customers who are not comfortable with tissue culture plants, we will also be offering most varieties in acclimated form at a later date.. These plants have already undergone the transition from sterile culture to normal growing conditions, making them easier to care for. This process takes a minimum of six weeks, although some varieties may take longer depending on growth rates.
